Sow where you reap

The OECD has proposed that companies are taxed where they earn their money, rather than where they are registered. This seems like an eminently sensible idea and one that will go some way to prevent corporate tax avoidance. The current arrangements allow the likes of Vodafone, Starbucks and Amazon to shop around for lower rates, whilst enjoying the revenue in countries that would typically demand more in corporation tax. 

There is a reason why Apple sticks £150 billion plus in Ireland.
