Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Smoking unbanned

I am glad that doctors have come out against e-cigarettes. The World Health Organisation is, like this author, worried about the "re normalisation of smoking", and fear they provide a Trojan horse for a newly invigorated tobacco industry enabled by fewer restrictions on advertising. Granted, they may be helping existing smokers to quit actual cigarettes, but they are also being aggressively marketed as a healthy addiction to non smokers too.

Bans in smoking in public places have been largely deemed a success in bringing down addiction rates. Not having similar bans on e-cigarettes undermines this. Suddenly children are seeing once more that it is okay to smoke.

Is that what we want?
