A graphic account of 9/11

DC and Marvel have thrilled youngsters and adults for generations with tales of superheroes and villains. They have influenced Hollywood – Fantastic 4, Spiderman 3 and Transformers to name just a few of this summer’s blockbusters – and now, they’re influencing government and the way politicians communicate.

Last year, Syd Jaconson and Ernie Colón translated the 9/11 Commission’s report into a graphic novel, so that our children can know, in glorious illustrated Technicolor, the failings of Bush administration in the run up to 9/11. Not for them the arduous task of sifting through thousands of dull pages (as if many adults, let alone children would). Please let’s have every finding of every committee and research paper illustrated in this way, starting with the forthcoming update from US General Patraeus on the state of play in Iraq.
